Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Drogenbos

The drive from Zaventem to Drogenbos

The route covers 29 km (18 miles) and usually takes around 23 minutes. It runs from the airport on the north-eastern side of Brussels to the south-western edge of the capital region. Drogenbos is booked only occasionally from BRU, so your driver will have your exact address from the booking and will go straight to the door.

Choosing the right vehicle

Solo travellers, couples and small families fit comfortably in a private taxi. There are two options: one for up to 3 passengers and one for up to 4. Groups of 5 to 8 can book the 8-seat minibus, which leaves room for luggage that would not fit in a standard car.

For larger parties such as school trips, sports teams or company delegations, minibuses are available with 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 seats. Choose the size that matches your headcount, and add a margin if you travel with bulky bags or equipment.

Drogenbos as a destination

Drogenbos is a small, mostly residential municipality just beyond the south-western border of the Brussels-Capital Region. It is a quiet place, and the centre of Brussels lies close by. Many visitors come here to see family, to visit local businesses, or to stay somewhere calmer than the city centre.

Planning your timing

The 23-minute estimate applies in normal traffic. The Brussels ring road and the approach roads can slow down at weekday rush hours, so allow extra time if you need to reach Drogenbos for an appointment or a connection. For departures from Drogenbos to the airport, plan to arrive early enough to check in and clear security without hurrying.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The location is easy to find after you have collected your luggage.
