Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Douai

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there after baggage reclaim.

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Douai

Douai lies 154 km (96 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes 1 h 47 m. The route leaves the Brussels area and crosses into northern France. Douai is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other.

Allow some extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hour. Traffic around Brussels and on the approach to the Lille area can slow things down. If you have a train, meeting or event in Douai, plan a comfortable buffer instead of relying on the minimum journey time.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle depends on your group size and luggage:

• Private Taxi: 1 to 4 passengers, suited to individual travellers, couples and small families.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: up to 8 passengers, good for larger families or colleagues travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24 and 32 Seats: for teams, school or club groups and wedding parties.
• Private Minibus 40 and 48 Seats: for large delegations, tour groups and event arrivals.

If you carry bulky items such as sports equipment or several large suitcases, choose the next size up for more room.

About Douai

Douai is a town in the Nord department of the Hauts-de-France region, on the Scarpe river. Its belfry is part of the UNESCO-listed group of belfries in Belgium and France.
