Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Dormaal

The drive from Brussels Airport to Dormaal

Dormaal lies 55 km (34 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes around 41 minutes. The route leads east out of the Brussels area into Flemish Brabant, so the first part of the trip is the busiest. If you land during the morning or late-afternoon rush hour, it is sensible to allow some extra time, especially if you have a tight onward commitment. Dormaal is a less frequently booked destination, but a transfer here is available on request like any other, with a private vehicle taking you directly from the terminal to your address.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle you need depends on how many people are travelling and how much luggage you carry.

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples and small families.
• Private Taxi (1-4 passengers): a better fit if a fourth traveller joins you or you have a little extra luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats and 16 Seats: practical for larger families, friends travelling together or small business groups.
• Private Minibus 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for tour groups, wedding parties, school trips and company events, so everyone arrives in one vehicle.

If you are unsure, choose the larger option when luggage is a concern, because the capacity listed refers to passengers.

About Dormaal

Dormaal is a small village in the Flemish Brabant countryside and part of the municipality of Zoutleeuw, in the Hageland region. It is a quiet, rural setting rather than a busy tourist centre, which makes a door-to-door transfer a convenient way to arrive. Give your driver the full street address in advance, as small villages can have several roads with similar names.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can head there straight away and meet your driver without delay.
