The Drive to De Haan

The route covers 120 km (75 miles) and typically takes 1 h 21 m. Most of the journey is on motorway towards the coast, followed by local roads into town. Since De Haan is a seaside resort, traffic can build up on sunny weekends, during school holidays and on public holidays. If you have a ferry, restaurant booking or check-in deadline, add a buffer to the driving time.

About De Haan

De Haan is a small, quiet resort on the Belgian coast, known for its Belle Époque villas, wide sandy beach and the tram that runs along the shore. The physicist Albert Einstein stayed here briefly in 1933, which the town still remembers. It is a calm place for walks, cycling and a short seaside break.
