Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Daussoulx

The drive from Brussels Airport to Daussoulx

The route covers 65 km (40 miles) and typically takes about 44 minutes. Daussoulx is a less frequently booked destination, but transfers are arranged on request just like on any other route. Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late-afternoon rush around Brussels, since the first part of the journey leaves the capital region. Heavy rain or roadworks can also add time, so it is sensible to avoid scheduling a tight connection straight after arrival.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the natural choice: one option seats up to 3 passengers, the other up to 4. Groups with more people or more luggage can switch to a private minibus. Minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, so a wedding party, a business delegation or a coach-sized tour group can all travel together in a single vehicle. If you are unsure about luggage space, choose the next size up.

Daussoulx and where to stay nearby

Daussoulx is a small village in Wallonia that belongs to the municipality of Namur. It is a quiet, rural-feeling place rather than a tourist centre, so most visitors come for business, family visits or to explore the Namur area. There is little in the way of large hotels in the village itself, so for accommodation the nearest well-known option is the city of Namur. Two established choices there are:

• Les Tanneurs de Namur, a hotel in the city centre.
• Hôtel Château de Namur, set on the hill near the Citadel.

Both are in Namur rather than in Daussoulx, so tell us your exact final address when you book.
