Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Chaumont

The drive from Brussels Airport to Chaumont

The route covers 169 km (106 miles) and typically takes around 1 h 45 m by road. Most of the journey is on motorways leaving the Brussels area, followed by smaller regional roads as you near the village. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other transfer.

Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hours, when traffic around Brussels slows down. Heavy rain or winter conditions can also lengthen the trip, especially on the last stretch of rural roads. If you have a fixed appointment or event in Chaumont, it is sensible to plan a comfortable buffer.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller parties can travel in a private taxi, with options for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Choose the larger one if you have several suitcases, since a 169 km ride is more pleasant with some room to spare.

Larger groups, such as families, wedding guests, or business delegations, can book a private minibus. Capacity steps up through these sizes:

• 8 seats
• 16 seats
• 24 seats
• 32 seats
• 40 seats
• 48 seats

Pick the size that matches your group plus luggage, rather than the bare minimum number of seats.

About Chaumont

Chaumont is a small place in Wallonia, so you will find a quiet, rural setting rather than a busy city. Because several places in Belgium share the name Chaumont, give the exact address or a precise location when you book. This way the driver heads straight to the right spot, and you avoid any confusion at the end of a long journey.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after collecting your luggage, so you can meet your driver without any searching.
