Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Chastre

The drive from Brussels Airport to Chastre

Chastre lies 44 km (28 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 40 minutes. The route heads south-east out of the Brussels area into Walloon Brabant. Weekday morning and late-afternoon rush hours around the Brussels ring and the main motorways can add time, so it is worth allowing a little extra if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to catch. Chastre is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option. There is a version for up to 3 passengers and another for up to 4, so check your luggage as well as your headcount. Larger parties are covered by private minibuses:

• 8 seats: small groups or families with plenty of luggage
• 16 and 24 seats: wedding parties, sports teams and business groups
• 32, 40 and 48 seats: large delegations, school trips and organised tours

If your group sits close to a size limit, choosing the next vehicle up gives everyone more room for bags.

About Chastre

Chastre is a municipality in the province of Walloon Brabant, in the French-speaking part of Belgium. It is made up of several villages and has a mostly rural, residential character, with fields and quiet roads rather than a large town centre. Its location south-east of Brussels makes it a practical base for visiting nearby towns in Walloon Brabant. Because the area is spread out, it helps to have the exact street address ready when you book, so the driver can take you directly to your door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage. Head there after baggage reclaim and look for your name.
