Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Burcht

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage.

The Drive to Burcht

The route covers 47 km (29 miles) and usually takes about 33 minutes. Burcht lies on the left bank of the Scheldt, so the last stretch brings you into the Antwerp area. At weekday rush hours, traffic around Brussels and Antwerp can slow things down, so add some buffer if you have a tight appointment or a connection to make. This route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request like any other.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Smaller groups are well served by a private taxi, with options for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Four people with several suitcases may be more comfortable in the larger of the two. For families, teams or event groups, private minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Choose a size that leaves room for luggage as well as passengers.

About Burcht

Burcht is a quiet residential village in the municipality of Zwijndrecht, in the province of Antwerp. It sits just across the river from Antwerp city centre, which makes it a calm base with the city close by. Because it is small, most visitors arrive for a specific address, so have the exact street and house number ready for your driver.

Where to Stay Nearby

Burcht itself offers little in the way of large, well-known hotels, so most visitors stay in nearby Antwerp, a short drive away. Established choices there include:

• Hilton Antwerp Old Town, in the historic centre
• Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel, close to Antwerp-Central station

If your destination is a private address in Burcht, your driver will take you directly to the door.
