Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Bruxelles, Brussels

The Drive

The route from Brussels Zaventem Airport to central Brussels covers 14 km (9 miles) and typically takes about 22 minutes. Morning and late-afternoon rush hours on the approach roads into the city can slow things down, so allow extra time if you have a tight appointment or a connecting departure.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you collect your luggage, so you can walk straight there.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Solo travellers, couples and small families are well served by a private taxi for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Larger parties can book a private minibus, starting at 8 seats and going up to 64 seats. That range covers business delegations, school trips and tour groups arriving together.

Public Transport Option

Train from Brussels Airport-Zaventem station to Brussels-Central, 0 changes required, approx. 15–25 minutes total. The same line also serves Brussels-Nord and Brussels-Midi, which helps if your hotel is closer to one of those stations.

Brussels as a Destination

Brussels is the capital of Belgium and the seat of major European institutions. Visitors come for the Grand-Place, the Royal Palace area, the Atomium, and the city's chocolate, waffle and beer culture. The historic centre is compact and best explored on foot once you have dropped your bags.

Where to Stay

• Hotel Metropole, a historic grand hotel near Place de Brouckère, open since the 19th century.
• Hotel Amigo, a well-known hotel right beside the Grand-Place.

Give your driver the exact hotel name or address and the trip will run smoothly, as access to the central streets can be restricted at times.
