Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Bree

The drive from Brussels Airport to Bree

Bree lies 107 km (67 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive normally takes around 1 h 15 m. The route runs east through Flanders towards the Dutch border, so you travel almost entirely by motorway before the last stretch into town. Bree is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is arranged on request just like any other. Allow some extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or evening rush around Brussels and Leuven, or in bad weather, as these are the usual causes of delays.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option. It is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, so choose the larger one if you have several suitcases or a child seat. Larger parties can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits family gatherings, sports teams, company groups and wedding guests who want to arrive together rather than split across several cars. If your group is close to a vehicle's limit, go up a size so that luggage fits comfortably.

Bree as a destination

Bree is a small town in the province of Limburg, in the north-east of Flanders and close to the Dutch border. The surrounding landscape is quiet and green, which makes it a convenient base for visitors to the Limburg countryside as well as for those visiting family, friends or local businesses. Because the town is some distance from the main international routes, a direct transfer saves you the trouble of planning connections after a flight.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without a long search through the terminal.
