Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Bredene

The drive from Zaventem to Bredene

Bredene lies 125 km (78 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive normally takes about 1 h 21 m. The route heads west across Flanders towards the North Sea coast, so most of the journey is on motorway. Bredene is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other. Allow extra time on summer weekends, public holidays and Friday afternoons, when traffic towards the coast is heavier than usual.

Which vehicle suits your group

Couples, solo travellers and small families can choose a private taxi for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Larger parties, such as a group renting a holiday house or a family gathering by the sea, can book a private minibus with 8 or 16 seats. For bigger groups, minibuses with 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats are available, so everyone travels together in one vehicle. Choose a size that leaves room for suitcases, especially if you are arriving for a longer coastal stay.

Bredene and where to stay nearby

Bredene is a seaside municipality on the Belgian coast, right next to Ostend. It is known for its wide sandy beach, its dunes and a relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere. It is mostly a holiday destination, with many apartments, campsites and holiday homes.

If you want a classic hotel, the neighbouring city of Ostend, just a few minutes away, has several long-established options:

• Thermae Palace, a historic seafront hotel in Ostend
• Andromeda Hotel, on the Ostend sea promenade
• Hotel du Parc, in the centre of Ostend

Tell the driver the exact address when you book, so the drop-off in Bredene or Ostend goes smoothly.
