Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Borgloon

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Borgloon

The route covers 85 km (53 miles) and typically takes about 58 minutes. It leads east from Zaventem towards the province of Limburg, mostly on motorway before finishing on local roads into town. Borgloon is not a route we see every day, but it is available on request like any other. Allow extra time if your transfer falls in the morning or late-afternoon rush, when the roads around Brussels are busiest, or if the weather is poor.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Couples, solo travellers and small families will be comfortable in a private taxi, with options for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Choose the larger taxi if you have a lot of luggage or a child seat to bring along. For bigger parties, private minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. They suit wedding guests, sports teams, company groups and family gatherings arriving together, and everyone travels in one vehicle instead of splitting up.

Borgloon as a Destination

Borgloon is a small town in Belgian Limburg, set in the gently rolling Haspengouw region, which is known for its orchards. The area is especially pretty in spring when the fruit trees are in blossom, and it suits walking and cycling trips. It is a quiet, rural base, so a door-to-door transfer is often far simpler than piecing together public transport with a bus at the end. Please give your driver the full street address on arrival so the drop-off is exact.
