Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Borchtlombeek

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can walk straight over without searching the terminal.

The Drive to Borchtlombeek

The route covers 31 km (20 miles) and typically takes about 29 minutes. Borchtlombeek lies to the west of the airport, so the journey leads you from the busy Zaventem area out into quieter countryside. Weekday morning and late afternoon traffic around Brussels can slow things down, and roadworks or poor weather may add further time. If you have an appointment, a family event or a connection to make, build in a buffer rather than counting on the minimum travel time. Because the transfer is private, the driver takes you directly to your address without picking up other passengers along the way.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the natural choice. It is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, and if you are four people with suitcases, the larger of the two gives you more comfortable space.

Bigger groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. These suit family gatherings, wedding guests, sports teams or company groups who want to arrive together. When deciding, count both the number of passengers and the amount of luggage, and pick the size that leaves some room to spare.
