Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Boortmeerbeek

The drive from Zaventem to Boortmeerbeek

Boortmeerbeek lies 20 km (13 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport. The drive typically takes around 19 minutes, which makes it a short hop after a flight. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other, so you can arrange it in advance without difficulty.

Traffic around the Brussels ring and the main roads towards Mechelen and Leuven can slow things down at peak commuting hours on weekdays. If you have a fixed appointment or a connecting plan after arrival, it is sensible to allow some extra time during the morning and late-afternoon rush.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle should match your group and your luggage, not just the headcount.

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) suits solo travellers, couples and small families with standard luggage.
• Private Taxi (1-4 passengers) gives a fourth seat for a slightly larger party.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats is a good choice for bigger families or groups with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats cover larger groups such as wedding parties, company teams, sports clubs and school trips, all travelling together in one vehicle.

If you are close to the limit of a vehicle, or carrying bulky items, choosing the next size up leaves everyone more comfortable.

About Boortmeerbeek

Boortmeerbeek is a municipality in the Flemish Brabant province of Belgium, in the area between Mechelen and Leuven. It is a mostly residential and green part of the country, a quieter setting than the nearby cities. Visitors usually come to see family, attend local events or visit businesses in the surrounding region. A private transfer takes you straight to the address, which is useful in a place where local transport options are more limited than in the big cities.
