Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Bonheiden

The drive from BRU to Bonheiden

Bonheiden lies 25 km (16 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive usually takes about 24 minutes. This is an occasionally booked route, so a pre-arranged private transfer is often easier than working out a connection yourself. Morning and late-afternoon rush hours around Brussels and Mechelen can slow the road, so allow some extra time if you have a tight appointment or a departing connection.

Meeting point at the airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there and meet your driver without wandering around the terminal.

Which vehicle suits your group

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, families and small groups with standard luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24 and 32 Seats: work well for business teams, wedding parties and organised groups.
• Private Minibus 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large tour groups, school trips and company events.

Choose the size based on both passenger numbers and luggage, as bulky cases take up space quickly.

Bonheiden as a destination

Bonheiden is a residential municipality in the province of Antwerp, right next to Mechelen. It is a quiet, green area that suits visitors with family or business in the region, and it gives easy access to Mechelen, Antwerp and Brussels.

Places to stay near Bonheiden

I cannot name well-known hotels in Bonheiden itself with confidence, so here are options in neighbouring Mechelen, only a short drive away. Martin's Patershof is a hotel in a converted convent in the historic centre. The Novotel Mechelen Centrum is a modern option close to the city centre. Tell your driver the exact hotel or home address when booking so the drop-off is smooth.
