About Blégny

Blégny is a municipality in the province of Liège, in Wallonia, in the green, hilly countryside of the Herve region east of the city of Liège. It is best known for Blégny-Mine, a former coal mine that is now a museum and part of the UNESCO-listed Major Mining Sites of Wallonia. Visitors can go underground with a guide there, which makes it a popular excursion for school groups and curious travellers.
