Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Beselare

The drive from Brussels Airport to Beselare

Beselare lies 123 km (77 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes 1 h 18 m. The route heads west across Flanders, so it is a straightforward trip by road. Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late afternoon rush around Brussels and Ghent, or in poor weather. This route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request like any other.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller groups can choose a private taxi: one version takes 1 to 3 passengers and another takes up to 4. For larger parties, private minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Pick the size that fits your passengers and their luggage comfortably. That matters for groups visiting the area together, such as families, tour parties or wedding guests.

Beselare and where to stay

Beselare is a small village in the municipality of Zonnebeke in West Flanders, close to Ypres (Ieper). The surrounding countryside is quiet and agricultural, and the area is known for its First World War history. Because Beselare itself is small, we cannot name established hotels there with confidence. The nearest town with well-known places to stay is Ypres, a short drive away:

• Hotel Ariane, a hotel in Ypres
• Main Street Hotel, in the centre of Ypres
• Hotel Regina, in Ypres

Tell the driver your exact address when booking so the drop-off is smooth, whether it is in Beselare or in Ypres.

Meeting point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage.
