Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Bekkerzeel

The drive from Brussels Airport to Bekkerzeel

Bekkerzeel lies 21 km (13 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 19 minutes. The route leaves the airport area and heads west across the Brussels region towards Flemish Brabant, so the traffic situation around the Brussels ring road has the biggest influence on your journey time.

Morning and late-afternoon rush hours are when delays are most likely. If you have an appointment, a connecting event or a fixed check-in time at the other end, it is sensible to allow some extra time on top of the usual 19 minutes. Outside peak hours the trip is normally smooth and straightforward.

Bekkerzeel is a less frequently booked destination, but it is available on request like any other address, and your driver will take you directly to your door.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle you need depends on how many people are travelling and how much luggage you bring:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) suits solo travellers, couples and small families with standard luggage.
• Private Taxi (1-4 passengers) gives a group of four a vehicle of their own, though a full car is best with fewer large suitcases.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats is the natural choice for larger families or friends travelling with plenty of bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats cover bigger groups such as wedding parties, company teams, sports clubs and organised tours, with space for everyone to travel together.

If you are unsure, choose the larger option when you travel with bulky items such as prams, golf bags or musical instruments.
