Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Beez

The drive from Brussels Airport to Beez

The route covers 65 km (41 miles) and typically takes around 43 minutes. You leave the Zaventem area via the ring road and continue south-east towards Namur, so most of the journey is on motorway. Beez lies on the Meuse just outside Namur's centre. Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late-afternoon rush, when the Brussels ring and the approaches to Namur can slow down. Bad weather and roadworks can also add minutes, so keep some margin if you have a tight appointment on arrival.

Choosing the right vehicle

For couples, solo travellers and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice: one option seats up to 3 passengers, another up to 4. Check the luggage you are bringing, as four people with large suitcases can be a tight fit in a standard car. Larger parties are covered by private minibuses with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. These work well for business groups, wedding guests, sports clubs or school trips heading to the Namur area. Beez is a less frequently booked destination, so it is best to reserve in advance, especially for bigger vehicles.

Beez and where to stay nearby

Beez is a small, quiet village that forms part of the municipality of Namur, in the Walloon province of Namur. It sits close to the river and is more residential than touristy, so most visitors base themselves in Namur itself, a short ride away. Well-established places to stay there include:

• Hôtel Château de Namur, set in the Citadel area above the city
• Hôtel Les Tanneurs, in the old town
• Novotel Namur, a larger business-oriented hotel

Give your driver the exact address in or around Beez when you book, so the route is planned correctly.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in the arrivals area, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can meet up without wandering around the terminal.
