Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Beersel

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Beersel

The route covers 33 km (21 miles) and typically takes around 26 minutes. You leave Zaventem and travel around the south side of Brussels before reaching Beersel in Flemish Brabant. Traffic on the Brussels ring road can build up considerably during weekday morning and late afternoon rush hours, so allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make. Your driver follows the quickest route on the day and drops you at the exact address you give when booking.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Solo travellers, couples and small families are well served by a private taxi, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. The 1-4 option leaves a little more space when you travel with several suitcases. For larger parties, private minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, which suits wedding groups, business delegations, school trips and family gatherings arriving together. Choose the size that matches your total headcount, and keep in mind that large luggage also takes up space.

Beersel as a Destination

Beersel is a municipality just south of Brussels, and its best-known landmark is Beersel Castle, a moated medieval fortress that attracts visitors throughout the year. The area is also associated with traditional Belgian lambic and gueuze brewing, which makes it popular with beer enthusiasts. Much of the surrounding countryside is green and quiet, with walking and cycling routes close to the Brussels edge. It is a calm base for people who want easy access to the capital without staying in the centre.
