Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Beauraing

The drive from Brussels Airport to Beauraing

Beauraing lies 114 km (71 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive normally takes 1 h 16 m. The route leaves the Brussels area and continues south through Wallonia, with the landscape becoming greener and more rural as you go. Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late-afternoon rush around Brussels, or in poor weather, since the first part of the trip is the busiest. Beauraing is not a frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route.

Choosing the right vehicle

Small groups are best served by a private taxi, with one option for up to 3 passengers and another for up to 4. For families with extra luggage or slightly larger parties, a minibus with 8 seats gives more room. Larger groups such as pilgrimage parties, wedding guests or company outings can choose a minibus with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, so everyone travels together in a single vehicle. When booking, pick the category by the total number of passengers and consider the amount of luggage as well.

About Beauraing

Beauraing is a small town in the province of Namur, on the edge of the Ardennes. It is best known as a Catholic pilgrimage site, because of the Marian apparitions reported there in 1932 and 1933, and the sanctuary still draws visitors from Belgium and abroad. The surrounding countryside is quiet, with villages, woodland and river valleys, which makes it a good base for walking and a calm break from Brussels. Check the exact address of your accommodation or event before travelling, so the driver can take you straight to the door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits for you at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet without any searching around the terminal.
