Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Bavegem

The drive from Brussels Airport to Bavegem

The route covers 59 km (37 miles) and typically takes around 43 minutes. It leaves the Zaventem area and heads west across Flanders towards the East Flanders countryside. Traffic around Brussels can slow things down at the morning and evening rush hours, so it is sensible to allow some extra time if you have a tight connection or an appointment on arrival. Bavegem is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route, with one driver taking you directly to your door.

Choosing the right vehicle

Couples and small families will usually be comfortable in a private taxi, offered for either 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Choose the larger option if you travel with several suitcases or a child seat. Larger parties can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This works well for wedding guests, family gatherings, business groups or club trips, since everyone arrives together in one vehicle instead of splitting across several taxis.

Bavegem as a destination

Bavegem is a small village in East Flanders and part of the municipality of Sint-Lievens-Houtem. The area is rural and quiet, with fields, farms and local roads, and it is a world away from the busy airport hall. Because it is a small place, a door-to-door private transfer is often the simplest way to reach a specific address. Give your driver the full street name and house number in advance, so the final stretch on narrow village roads goes smoothly.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can head there straight away and meet your driver without any searching around the arrivals hall.
