Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Balâtre

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Balâtre

Balâtre lies 62 km (39 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the journey usually takes about 52 minutes. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other. Traffic around the Brussels ring is the main variable, so allow extra time if your transfer falls in the weekday morning or late-afternoon rush hours. Heavy rain or roadworks can also add minutes, so it is wise not to plan a tight connection right after arrival.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without wandering around the terminal.

Which Vehicle Suits Your Group

Smaller parties are well served by a private taxi, with one option for up to 3 passengers and another for up to 4. Families or couples with a fair amount of luggage may prefer the 4-passenger car for extra space.

Larger groups can choose from a range of private minibuses:

• 8 seats for a bigger family or a small team
• 16 and 24 seats for wedding parties, clubs or business groups
• 32, 40 and 48 seats for large delegations, school trips or event groups travelling together

Since every transfer is private, the vehicle goes only to your group, and you travel without intermediate stops.

About Balâtre

Balâtre is a small village in the Walloon province of Namur and part of the municipality of Sombreffe. It is a quiet rural setting with farmland and village streets rather than a busy tourist centre. For that reason, travelling by road directly from the airport is often the simplest way to reach it. Please give your driver the exact address when you book, as small villages can have several similar street names nearby.
