Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Baarle-Hertog

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there and meet your driver without searching the terminal.

The Drive to Baarle-Hertog

The route covers 100 km (62 miles) and normally takes about 1 h 14 m. Baarle-Hertog is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request like any other. A private car takes you from the airport to the door, with no changes and no need to coordinate with local connections near the border. Allow some extra time if you travel during the morning or late-afternoon rush, when motorway traffic around the larger cities tends to slow down. Bad weather can also add to the journey. If you have an appointment or a connection at the other end, planning a small buffer is sensible.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The size of your group decides which vehicle fits best:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) or Private Taxi (1-4 passengers): suited to solo travellers, couples, and small families with luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a comfortable option for larger families or a small group of colleagues.
• Private Minibus 16 Seats and 24 Seats: for tour parties, sports teams, or wedding guests arriving together.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: for big groups, school trips, and organised events that want everyone in one vehicle.

If you carry a lot of luggage, sports gear or musical instruments, it is worth choosing the next size up so everything fits without crowding the seats.

About Baarle-Hertog

Baarle-Hertog is a small Belgian municipality known for its unusual border situation. It consists of a number of separate Belgian enclaves lying inside the Netherlands, and it is closely intertwined with the neighbouring Dutch village of Baarle-Nassau. Border markings are set into the pavements, and in places the national line runs right through streets and buildings. Many visitors come simply to see this curiosity and to walk around the village centre. When you book, give the exact street address or the name of the place you are heading to, since the Belgian and Dutch parts sit side by side and are easy to confuse.
