Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Baardegem

The drive from Brussels Airport to Baardegem

The route covers 32 km (20 miles) and usually takes about 36 minutes. Most of the journey is on motorway, so the time is fairly predictable outside peak hours. On weekday mornings and late afternoons, traffic around the Brussels ring and the western approaches can slow things down. If you have a tight connection or an appointment waiting, add a buffer to the standard driving time. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other.

Choosing the right vehicle

Solo travellers, couples and small families will be comfortable in a private taxi, with options for up to 3 or up to 4 passengers. Four people with a few suitcases each are better off in the 4-seat taxi than in a car that is already full. For larger parties such as wedding guests, business delegations or extended family, there are private minibuses with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Pick the size by head count and luggage rather than by seats alone. A little spare room makes the ride more pleasant after a long flight.

• 1-4 passengers: private taxi
• 5-8 passengers: 8-seat minibus
• 9-48 passengers: minibus in the matching size

About Baardegem

Baardegem is a village in the municipality of Aalst, in the Flemish province of East Flanders. It has a quiet, residential, rural feel, in contrast to the busier city centres nearby. Because it is small, it helps to give your driver the exact street address when you book, so the car can take you straight to the door.
