Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Baal

The drive from Zaventem to Baal

The transfer covers 47 km (30 miles) and typically takes around 38 minutes. Baal is a small village in the municipality of Tremelo in Flemish Brabant, a quiet, mostly residential area. It is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other. Traffic around Brussels can slow things down on weekday mornings and late afternoons, so allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller parties are well served by a private taxi, with one option for up to 3 passengers and another for up to 4. For families with extra luggage or groups of up to 8, a private minibus with 8 seats gives more room. Larger groups such as wedding parties, company teams or club trips can choose a minibus with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Everyone then travels together in a single vehicle, so nobody has to coordinate several cars on arrival.

Where to stay near Baal

Baal is a small village and I cannot name long-established hotels there with confidence. Leuven, a larger town nearby, has several well-known places to stay:

• Martin's Klooster, a hotel in a converted historic building in Leuven
• Leuven Marriott Hotel, a larger business and conference hotel in the town centre

Check the exact location against your plans before booking, and give your driver the full address of wherever you are staying.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there after baggage reclaim.
