Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Awans

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU), holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without wandering around the terminal.

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Awans

The route covers 83 km (52 miles) and typically takes around 50 minutes. Most of the journey is on motorway heading east towards the Liège region, which keeps the ride direct and fairly uneventful. Traffic around the Brussels ring can slow things down at the start, especially on weekday mornings and late afternoons, so it is sensible to allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make in Awans. A private transfer takes you from the arrivals hall straight to the address you give, with no changes along the way.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Awans is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route. For smaller parties there are two taxi options:

• Private Taxi for 1-3 passengers
• Private Taxi for 1-4 passengers

Families with extra suitcases or business groups can move up to a Private Minibus with 8 seats. For larger parties, minibuses with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats are available, so a whole team, tour group or wedding party can travel together in a single vehicle. If you are unsure, choose the larger size when you have a lot of luggage.

Awans and Where to Stay Nearby

Awans is a municipality in the province of Liège in Wallonia, a mainly residential area close to the city of Liège and its surroundings. It is a quiet place and has few large hotels of its own, so many visitors stay in nearby Liège instead. Well-known options there include the Mercure Liège City Centre, the Radisson Blu Liège and the Van der Valk Hotel Liège Congres. Liège is a short drive from Awans, and your driver can take you to whichever address you choose.
