Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Avekapelle

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Avekapelle

The route covers 143 km (89 miles) and typically takes 1 h 29 m. You leave the Brussels area and head west across Flanders towards the coast, so the scenery gradually turns flatter and more open. Avekapelle is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush around Brussels, or on busy summer weekends when traffic towards the coast is heavier.

Meeting Point at Brussels Zaventem Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without searching the terminal.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Because this is a longer ride of around an hour and a half, it is worth picking a vehicle with enough space for everyone and all the bags.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, and small families. Choose the 1-4 option if you carry extra luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or friends travelling together with suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 Seats: intended for wedding parties, school trips, club outings, and other group travel, with a size for almost every group.

About Avekapelle

Avekapelle is a small village in the municipality of Veurne, in the West Flanders province close to the Belgian coast. The surrounding area is typical polder countryside: flat farmland, quiet lanes, and open skies. Its location makes it a calm base for exploring Veurne, De Panne, and the nearby beaches, as well as the wider Westhoek region. Because it is a village rather than a large town, it is useful to have the exact address of your accommodation ready for the driver.
