Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Aulne

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Aulne

The route covers 86 km (54 miles) and typically takes 1 h 3 m by road. Most of the journey runs south of Brussels towards the province of Hainaut. Aulne is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request like any other. If you land during the morning or evening rush hour, traffic around Brussels can slow the first part of the trip, so it is sensible to allow some extra time for onward appointments.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option, with versions for up to 3 or up to 4 passengers. If you travel with more luggage or a larger party, a private minibus with 8 seats is the next step up. Bigger groups, such as wedding parties, teams or company outings, can choose minibuses with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, so everyone arrives together in a single vehicle.

About Aulne

Aulne is best known for the ruins of Aulne Abbey, a former Cistercian abbey in the Sambre valley near Thuin. The setting is rural and calm, which makes it a typical stop for visitors interested in history, walking and the countryside of southern Hainaut. If you plan to visit the abbey site or the surrounding area, a direct transfer saves you from arranging several connections after a flight.
