Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Asper

The drive from Brussels Airport to Asper

The route covers 77 km (48 miles) and typically takes about 54 minutes. Asper is in East Flanders, so you travel west from Zaventem across the Flemish motorway network. Brussels rush hours, mainly weekday mornings and late afternoons, can slow the first part of the trip. If you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make, allow some extra time. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other, and your driver takes you directly to your address.

Choosing the right vehicle

For couples, small families or business travellers, a private taxi is the simplest option. There is a version for 1-3 passengers and one for 1-4 passengers, which is useful if you carry more luggage. Larger parties can choose a private minibus. The 8-seat minibus suits extended families or colleagues travelling together. The 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48-seat minibuses are meant for wedding parties, club outings, company events and tour groups heading to the area.

About Asper and where to stay

Asper is a small village in the municipality of Gavere in East Flanders. It is a quiet, rural place in the Flemish countryside, and most visitors come for family occasions, local events or a calm base outside the city. Because Asper is small, larger hotels are found in the nearby city of Ghent, which is the nearest bigger town. Well-established places to stay there include:

• NH Gent Belfort, close to the historic centre
• Hotel Dukes' Palace, a boutique hotel in the Prinsenhof district
• Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof, in a historic townhouse

Your driver can take you to any of these or to a private address in Asper.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without searching the terminal.
