Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Ambly

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Ambly

The route covers 117 km (73 miles) and typically takes 1 h 19 m. Most of the journey is on motorways heading south-east out of the Brussels area, followed by quieter regional roads as you approach the Ardennes. Ambly is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request like any other route.

Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush around Brussels, since congestion near the ring road can add to the journey. In winter, fog or snow in the hillier part of the route can also slow traffic, so a little buffer is sensible if you have a connection to make.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House at Brussels Zaventem Airport with a personalised name sign. The location is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without searching around the terminal.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle you need depends on group size and luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and business travellers.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: work well for wedding parties, sports teams and company groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large groups, tours and events where everyone should arrive together.

If you are unsure, choose the next size up when you have bulky luggage such as ski bags, strollers or musical instruments.

About Ambly

Ambly is a small village in the Belgian Ardennes, part of the municipality of Nassogne in the Province of Luxembourg. The surrounding area is rural and wooded, which makes it popular with visitors looking for walking, cycling and a quiet stay outside the cities. Because the village is small and public transport options are limited, a private transfer from the airport is a practical way to reach it directly.
