Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet up without searching the terminal.

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Alzingen

Alzingen lies 221 km (138 miles) from the airport, and the trip normally takes about 2 h 18 m. The route heads south-east across Belgium and into the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hour, when traffic around Brussels and on the approach to Luxembourg City can slow things down. Roadworks or bad weather can also add minutes, so it is wise not to schedule a tight appointment right after arrival.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice: one version takes 1-3 passengers, another takes up to 4. Larger groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, which suits business delegations, wedding parties, school trips and conference groups travelling together. Over a journey of more than two hours, a bit of spare space for luggage and legroom is worth considering when you pick a size.

Alzingen and Where to Stay

Alzingen is a quiet residential village in the commune of Hesperange, just outside Luxembourg City. It is a calm base with quick road access to the capital and its business district, which makes it a practical stop for visitors on business or family trips. There is little in the way of large hotels in the village itself, so most travellers choose accommodation in Luxembourg City, the nearest major town. Well-known, long-established options there include:

• Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal, a five-star hotel overlooking the Pétrusse valley
• Hotel Le Royal, a long-standing luxury hotel in the city centre
• Hotel Parc Belle-Vue, a traditional hotel next to a city park

Tell us your exact address in or around Alzingen when you book, and the driver will take you straight to the door.
