Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Alster

The drive from Brussels Zaventem to Alster

The route covers 174 km (109 miles) and typically takes 1 h 51 m by road. That is a substantial trip, so it is worth planning it as a proper journey rather than a short hop. Alster is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route we cover.

Travel times are based on normal driving conditions. Belgian motorways around Brussels are often busy during weekday morning and late-afternoon rush hours, and roadworks or bad weather can slow things further. If you have a fixed appointment or a connection to catch, allow some extra time on top of the typical duration.

Which vehicle fits your group

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice. Taxis are available for 1-3 passengers or 1-4 passengers, so pick the one that matches your party size and luggage.

Larger groups are covered by private minibuses:

• 8 seats for up to 8 passengers
• 16 seats for up to 16 passengers
• 24 seats for up to 24 passengers
• 32 seats for up to 32 passengers
• 40 seats for up to 40 passengers
• 48 seats for up to 48 passengers

If you are travelling with a lot of luggage or sports equipment, choosing the next size up gives everyone more room on a nearly two-hour ride.

About Alster

Alster is a small place in Belgium, and it is best approached as a destination where a door-to-door transfer makes the most sense. A private driver takes you straight to your address, so you do not need to work out local connections after a long flight. Please have the full street address ready when you book so the driver can plan the final stretch of the route.
