Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Alsemberg

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Alsemberg

Alsemberg lies 37 km (23 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive usually takes about 32 minutes. The route skirts the Brussels region on the ring road before heading south-west into the Flemish Brabant countryside. The ring road is the stretch most affected by traffic, so allow extra time during the weekday morning and late afternoon rush hours, and when the weather is bad. Alsemberg is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Couples, solo travellers and small families will be comfortable in a private taxi, with options for up to 3 or up to 4 passengers. If you travel with several suitcases, the 4-passenger taxi leaves more room for luggage when only two or three people are on board. Larger parties can choose a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. These suit family gatherings, wedding guests, company teams and tour groups arriving on the same flight, and everyone travels together to the same address.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there and meet your driver without searching the terminal.

About Alsemberg

Alsemberg is a village in the municipality of Beersel, in the province of Flemish Brabant, south-west of the Belgian capital. The surroundings are green and residential, with farmland and quiet lanes, and the centre of Brussels is within easy reach. Beersel and its medieval moated castle are close by, and the Hallerbos forest near Halle is a popular excursion in spring. Because the village is small and its streets can be narrow, it helps to give the driver the exact street address in advance.
