Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Aire-sur-la-Lys

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Aire-sur-la-Lys

The trip from Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Aire-sur-la-Lys covers 194 km (121 miles) and typically takes 2 h 13 m. The route leaves the Brussels area and crosses the Belgian-French border before reaching the Pas-de-Calais department. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other, and a private transfer saves you from piecing the journey together yourself.

Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late afternoon rush, when traffic around Brussels slows down. Keep a valid passport or ID card within reach, as you cross an international border during the journey.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle depends on how many people are travelling and how much luggage you have:

• Private Taxi for 1-4 passengers, suited to individual travellers, couples and small families.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats for up to 8 passengers, a good choice when you have extra suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16 Seats and 24 Seats for larger family gatherings, teams or small tour groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats for coach-sized groups, such as wedding parties, school trips or company events.

On a drive of over two hours, a little extra room makes the journey more comfortable, so consider sizing up if your group carries a lot of luggage.
