Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Afsnee

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without a long search.

The Drive from BRU to Afsnee

Afsnee lies 67 km (42 miles) from the airport, and the trip normally takes around 47 minutes. The route heads west from Zaventem towards the Ghent area. Brussels rush hours, roadworks or bad weather can slow the first stretch around the capital, so add a buffer if you have a tight appointment or an onward connection. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Solo travellers, couples and small families usually fit in a private taxi, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Check the passenger limit against your luggage as well as your group size. For larger parties, private minibuses come with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, which suits wedding guests, company groups, sports teams and family gatherings travelling together. Booking a vehicle one size up gives everyone more room for suitcases.

About Afsnee

Afsnee is a quiet residential district on the edge of Ghent, close to the river Leie. It offers a calmer setting than the busy city centre, while the historic centre of Ghent is only a short drive away.
