Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Affligem

The route from BRU to Affligem

Affligem lies 33 km (21 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 27 minutes. The route heads west out of the airport area and continues through Flemish Brabant into the countryside around the Dender region. This is an occasionally booked route, so your driver will be fully briefed on the way, and you simply sit back after landing.

Which vehicle suits your group

Couples, solo travellers and small families usually take a Private Taxi, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. For larger parties, the Private Minibus 8 Seats covers up to 8 people with luggage. Groups of 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 passengers can be handled with the matching minibus size, which suits wedding parties, company outings and tour groups heading to the area together.

About Affligem

Affligem is a rural municipality in Flemish Brabant, best known for its Benedictine abbey and the Affligem beer that takes its name from it. The area is green and quiet, with villages, farmland and walking routes, a calm contrast to the bustle of Brussels. Give your driver the exact street address, as some village roads are narrow and easy to confuse with those in neighbouring places.

Allowing for traffic and luggage

Journey time can rise during the morning and evening rush hours, when traffic around Brussels is heaviest. If you have a tight appointment or a return flight to catch, add a comfortable buffer to the 27-minute estimate. Tell us about bulky luggage, prams or sports equipment in advance, so the right vehicle is ready for you.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage. Head there once you have cleared the baggage hall and look for your name.
