Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Abcoude

The drive from Brussels Airport to Abcoude

The route covers 187 km (117 miles) and typically takes 2 h 2 m. It crosses Belgium northwards and continues into the Netherlands, ending in the countryside southeast of Amsterdam. Abcoude is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route. Allow extra time if you travel during weekday rush hours, as traffic around Antwerp and near Amsterdam and Utrecht can slow the journey. A direct private transfer means no luggage handling on trains and no changes along the way.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you collect your luggage, so you do not need to search the terminal.

Choosing the right vehicle

The right vehicle depends mainly on your group size and the amount of luggage you carry.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits individual travellers, couples, families and small business groups.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or friends travelling with plenty of bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 Seats: intended for tour groups, teams, wedding parties and company events, with space for everyone in one vehicle.

If your group is close to the upper limit of a vehicle, or you carry bulky items such as sports equipment, choose the next size up for a more comfortable ride over a trip of two hours.

About Abcoude and where to stay

Abcoude is a small village in the province of Utrecht, close to Amsterdam and surrounded by green polder landscape and waterways. It has a quiet, residential feel and is popular with people who want to be near the capital without staying in the city centre. Abcoude itself is small, so the best-known hotels are found in the nearby city of Amsterdam, roughly a short drive away:

• InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam: a historic grand hotel on the bank of the Amstel river.
• Pulitzer Amsterdam: a hotel made up of connected canal houses in the Jordaan area.
• Hotel de l'Europe: a long-established luxury hotel overlooking the Amstel in the city centre.

Please give your driver the exact address in Abcoude or Amsterdam when you book, so the route can be planned precisely.
